How to Use a Vape Device

Once you’ve made your selection, it is time to learn how to use the device. We’ll introduce the process to you in four easy-to-follow steps. 

Step 1: Unbox and Assemble

When you’re ready to unbox your package, carefully remove the device and all the components. Reading the manual is very important before you start the assembly. 

Begin by attaching the battery to the atomizer or tank. If the vape device has a separate coil, you may need to screw it into the base of the tank. Make sure every part is snugly fit without overtightening. 

Step 2: Charge 

Using the USB charger that comes in the package, connect the device to a power source. Some may have removable batteries that need an external charger. There is usually an LED light indicating when the device is charging and when it is fully charged. Before using the device for the first time, ensure that it is fully charged. 

Step 3: Fill With E-Liquid

To open the tank, unscrew the top cap or slide the tank’s top fill port open. With an e-liquid bottle, start to fill the tank by dripping the solution into the holes on the side. Be careful here, as you’d want to avoid the central chimney, a part that directly leads to the mouthpiece.  

After you’ve securely closed the tank, you need to prime the coil. Allow the solution to soak fully into the coil for around 10 minutes before using the device. Don’t forget this, as it is important to prevent the occurrence of dry hits and ensure the coil will last long. 

Step 4: Turn It on and Enjoy Vaping

The last step before you can enjoy vaping is to turn on the device. Don’t feel bad if you cannot perfect the inhalation. There are actually two kinds of inhalation techniques:

Understanding E-Liquids

E-liquids are available in different types based on their ratios:

• VG (vegetable glycerin)
• PG (propylene glycol)

Then, you also have:

• Nicotine

VG is capable of producing thicker vapor. For a stronger throat hit, go with PG. Meanwhile, levels of nicotine range from zero to 50 milligrams. 

If you’re coming from just a light smoking background, you can start with three to six milligrams. Otherwise, if you were a heavy smoker before, you can start with 12 to 18 milligrams. For the flavors, it all boils down to what suits your taste.

1. Vaping as if You’re Smoking

Don’t make hard, quick puffs! If you vape the same way as you smoke, the throat hit from the juice would be underwhelming. Therefore, you won’t get a cloudy vapor. Patience is a virtue here. 

2. Buying the Wrong Juice

First-time vapers normally fall into the trap of buying e-liquids based on how attractive they look. This isn’t the way. Instead, make your choice according to the VG to PG ratio. Subdued vapor gives you a sore throat while vaping. 

3. Dry Hits and Burnt Coils

Dry hits happen when taking a draw from the vaporizer containing insufficient juice in the coil or tank. Also, vaping without giving ample time for the juice to saturate the wick causes burnt vape coils, the culprits for that repugnant burnt taste in your mouth. Filling the tank with enough liquid and priming your coil are the solutions for these, respectively. 

4. Not Using the Right Tools
